Very rare. The first Irish book concerning Australia, the earliest printed account of Cook’s First Voyage and the discovery of the east coast of Australia in its Dublin printing. ESTC lists only BL, LOC, UCLA, National Library of Australia, New South Wales (2 copies), and Tasmania. This edition contains the dedication to Bankes and Solander, indicating that it was prepared from the earlier London issue, as this dedication was suppressed in the second.
12mo, [iv], 193, [vii] pp., contemporary calf, green label, lightly rubbed, corners worn else a fine copy.
