The very scarce first American edition of Cook’s collected voyages. The First and Second Voyages are covered in the first volume, with the Third Voyage in the second volume. All eighteenth-century American editions of Cook are rare.
First American edition. Two volumes, 12mo, 315; 351 pp., complete with 8 engraved plates (frontispiece of Captain Cook laid down with slight loss to caption and just touching, but not into, image on fore-margin), modern calf, red morocco labels, browned as usual, occasional soiling, a very good set.
