First edition, 13 volumes, 8vo., 153 engraved plates including 50 hand-coloured, after Samuel Alken, Herring, Egerton, Davis, R. Cruikshank, and others, numerous vignettes throughout, red half morocco gilt, top edges gilt, a fine set.

Tooley lists 153 plates; we have 138 plates, including 8 duplicates (always bound in a different volume), 1 plate not in Tooley, and 2 plates bound in the wrong volume. In total, we only have 129 plates out of those listed by Tooley + a new one.
