Written by Richard Ford this work was issued by Murray as a companion volume to Ford’s famous handbook ( first published in 1845). There were originally three editions – 1846, 1851 and 1861. It was reprinted in facsimile after 1900 several times.

First edition, 8vo, (18 x 13 cms), pp.[1] publisher’s advert, 16 adverts at rear, bookseller’s label on front pastedown, publisher’s red cloth gilt, slightly dirty and worn at extremities, pencilling at rear, inner joints cracked; otherwise a good copy.
