    Description

    First edition. 3 volumes, 8vo, all half titles present. Publisher’s dark green pebble-grained cloth; secondary binding with single border and square corners, without advertisement leaf to vol. I, black endpapers, some wear and chipping to spine ends, vol. I with slight water stain and associated bubbling to cloth of back cover. All in all, still a very presentable set of Hardy’s own favourite among his novels.
